This week the mission president invited all the seniors to go to the Thai Orchid Exhibition. It was so incredibly beautiful!! One if the senior sisters said, "Sister Martell I haven't seen you smile this much since you got here!" I don't know if that's good or bad!! I guess I should stop being so serious all the time!! On our way there we stopped at a Mexican restaurant that is owned by an American who lives in Thailand. The food was delicious!! Still haven't had a good Thai meal yet. What's that all about??😳 These are only about half of the pictures that I took at the Orchid Exhibition!!!!

More Missionary Moments

It has been a crazy 3 weeks! I love being the mission nurse. I'm such a mother hen!! I worry about these missionaries continually. I am amazed and inspired by their dedication to the work. I know the Lord knows and loves each one of them. One of them will call me feeling very sick and I will think they are sick enough to be down for 2-3 days but then I hear that they are back out working the very next day. I know they are being blessed to get well quicker than they normally would. They have so much faith!!
Yesterday I was reunited with one of my missionary companions from 42 years ago, Sister Suchitra. It was so good to see her and talk with her again. It seemed very much like old times!!
I was able to go do something fun last Pday with a couple of the senior couples. We went to the Golden Teakwood Palace. We took the subway, then skytrain, then a bus to get there! Riding the bus really brought back old memories!! We also passed by Victory Monument where we used to hold street meetings back in the day. Everyday I realize how blessed and lucky I am to be here. I really feel it was one of the best decisions I've ever made!!!!
